At Remington College in Houston, we understand that a traditional four-year education isn't for everyone. Houston is a busy city, and many Houstonians are juggling the demands of work and family but still want to earn a college diploma or degree. We've been educating adults in the Houston area since 1997, and we remain dedicated to helping college students achieve their career training goals.

Our college in Houston offers Associate’s Degree Programs in Business Office Management and Criminal Justice and College Diploma Programs in Cosmetology, Electronic Technology, Medical Assisting, Medical Assisting with X-Ray Tech (Limited Scope) and EKG, Medical Billing and Coding and Pharmacy Technician.

Houston College Degree and Diploma Programs

Our Houston college offers both degree and diploma programs, some of which can be completed in as few as nine months, with some classes available both day and night. We provide opportunities for people who want to get the education and career training they need for the job they want. (1)

Associate’s Degree Programs:

  • Associate’s Degree in Business Office Management The Business Office Management associate's degree program at our Houston, Texas campus helps prepare students for careers in office administration and leadership, leading to jobs with titles such as executive assistant, administrative support supervisor, or administrative services manager.(1) Subjects covered include word processing, management principles, basic research skills, spreadsheet design, finance, accounting, and data management.

    Criminal Justice Degree The Criminal Justice associate's degree program at our Houston, Texas campus trains students for careers in the administration of justice and focus on a hands-on approach to understanding and combating crime while delving into criminal law and the U.S. judicial system. Graduates of this program may qualify for entry-level positions in loss prevention, security, corrections, and investigation.(1)

College Diploma Programs:

  • Cosmetology Training Program Students in our Houston, Texas Cosmetology college diploma program develop product knowledge, along with artistry and skills, so that they can help people look and feel their best. After completing all classroom instruction and on-site lab training, graduates of our program should be well-positioned to complete their state licensing requirements(2) and begin work in the industry.(1)

    Electronics Technician Training Program Students in our Electronic Technology college diploma program study the basics of integrated circuits, microprocessors, computer technology, and home electronics and can earn their diploma in as few as 12 months. Graduates of our Houston, Texas campus are equipped to pursue entry-level job opportunities in communications, instrumentation, digital processing, and computer electronics companies.

    Medical Assistant Training Program Students in the Medical Assisting college diploma program at our Houston, Texas campus study a wide variety of health care basics and have the opportunity to gain experience by performing tasks that range from filing medical records to recording vital signs. This program helps prepare graduates for entry-level positions in the health care field.(1)

    X-Ray Technician (Limited Scope) Training Program The curriculum for our college diploma program in Medical Assisting with X-Ray Tech (Limited Scope) and EKG provides instruction in both administrative and clinical medical assisting, as well as limited X-ray and EKG procedures. In addition to developing skills that are used in clinical settings, students at our Houston, Texas campus learn X-ray and EKG techniques, have the opportunity to participate in externship training in a real medical diagnostic office, (3)and can earn their diploma in as few as 12 months.

    Medical Billing Training Program Students in the Medical Billing and Coding diploma program at our Houston, Texas campus have the opportunity to receive training in maintaining patient records and filing insurance claims in accordance with medical coding standards and regulations. Graduates should qualify for entry-level job opportunities as insurance coders or medical coders in private physicians' offices, clinics, hospital clerical departments, and other medical facilities.(1)

    Pharmacy Technician Training Program Our Pharmacy Technician college diploma program includes training in the rules and regulations of pharmacology, mixing and preparing medications, monitoring inventory, filling out insurance claims, and working with patient charts. Students at our Houston, Texas campus receive classroom instruction and practical lab work in preparation for potential entry-level positions assisting pharmacists in accurately dispensing prescriptions that protect and save lives.
